An Industrial, Bohemian Rooftop Wedding at North 13th at the Knickerbocker in St. Louis, Missouri
While planning their November nuptials, Saturn Os (29 and a manicurist) and Casey Arcese (34 and an electrical engineer) recognized the need for a fuss-free fete. “Casey and I are really easygoing people, and we wanted our wedding to reflect that,” Saturn says. They of avoided any element that felt too formal or traditional, but one particular Vietnamese custom felt fitting: “We served tea to our parents in a traditional tea ceremony as a way to thank them for everything they’ve done for us,” Saturn says. For their western ceremony on the rooftop at Anew, Saturn personalized her look with a blush leather jacket, platform heels and a bohemian crown. “It ended up being 70 degrees that day, but I loved the way the jacket looked with my dress,” she says. Casey kept it cool in a blue suit with a burgundy tie and classic tie bar accessory. After the newlyweds walked back up the aisle to the tune of “You Make My Dreams” by Hall & Oates, partygoers gathered for dinner in a nearby room at North 13th at the Knickerbocker where they found the space adorned with ruscus wreaths and ghost chairs. “We skipped a grand reception entrance so that we could personally greet our guests at the door,” Saturn says. The whitewashed venue served as a blank canvas for the couple's envisioned “minimalist romantic” reception.
