For Kelsey Russell (26 and a customer strategy professional) and Brandon Russell (33 and a sales professional), getting married on Kelsey’s family's farm in Lexington, Kentucky, was a natural choice. “Living on a farm is much of who I am,” Kelsey says. “The wedding was set to be outdoors on the top of the hill in the middle of the farm, overlooking a number of other Kentucky farms.” Kelsey’s father built the gazebo where she and Brandon were married by a family friend and exchanged their original vows. At the tented reception, planner Jenny Bennelson helped Kelsey and Brandon pull off a rustic-chic atmosphere with burlap decor accented by crisp white and touches of bright spring colors. Their wedding was full of personal touches, from the sentimental flower choices by Carol Lynn Events included in Kelsey’s bouquet to the quilt square guest book and even Coca-Cola cans with Kelsey and Brandon’s nicknames. “It was meant to be an intimate, meaningful event for all involved, and it totally was,” Kelsey says. The bridesmaids wore bright guava-colored floor-length dresses, and the groomsmen wore neutral suits with pink ties to match the spring palette. All included pops of circus roses in their bouquets or boutonnieres.
Early in their relationship, Brandon gave Kelsey a bouquet of circus roses. She's loved them ever since, so she knew she wanted them in her bouquet. Carol Lynn Events also included lilies,
Kelsey's dad built the gazebo where she and Brandon said their vows. They included personal touches throughout their ceremony: A friend officiated, Kelsey's cousin played the piano, and they read a Bible verse they had shared on their car dashboards even before they started dating.
A horse and carriage added a classic, elegant touch to Kelsey's ceremony entrance at her family's farm in Lexington, Kentucky.

Romantic Kentucky Farm Wedding
Kelsey and Brandon participated in the broom-jumping tradition as they entered their reception. They shared their first dance to a favorite from John Legend, mixed with their own choreographed blend, as nods to their individual music preferences— R & B, hip-hop and country—that told their love story.
