An Intimate, Natural Wedding at TreeHouse Point in Issaquah, Washington

Krystal Gile (32, human resources) and Stephen Chellis (33, software project management) met through work when they were in their early twenties, and quickly established a strong connection that eventually led to an engagement. One afternoon, the couple were taking a hike with their dog at Ecola State Park in Cannon Beach, Oregon. When they had reached the end of the trial that opened up into a gorgeous view of the ocean, Stephen got down on one knee and proposed. At that exact moment, their dog pounced on Stephen and the ring went missing. At first they thought the dog ate the ring, but then Stephen spotted the ring dangling halfway over a cliff. Stephen grabbed the ring just before it fell, and it has been on Krystal's finger ever since. The couple eloped at TreeHouse Point in Issaquah, Washington. "I cried in the parking lot before we even got out of the car to see the venue," says Krystal. "It was magical, romantic and uS. I can’t imagine having had our wedding anywhere else." The pink, blue and gray color palette blended well with the natural decor of the surrounding woods. Subtle touches of burlap, twine and wood were incorporated into the details, which helped to complete their rustic, natural wedding day.
