An Intimate, Rustic Wedding at Private Residence in Logan, Utah
A private cabin on the Logan River in Logan, Utah, is a jaw-droppingly beautiful place, full of amazing wildlife, outdoors activities and serene spots to kick back and relax with loved ones. That’s why Shannon Stevenson (28 and a contracts negotiator) and Marc Weston (30 and a professional fly-fishing guide) had an intimate, rustic wedding there with 36 of their closest friends—and their dog, of course. They loved that the space allowed them to run with their free-spirited style and hodgepodge their ideas together for a laid-back wedding. One cool detail they couldn’t have planned: The venue has hummingbird feeders everywhere, so there were tons of hummingbirds buzzing around at their ceremony. Instead of having a wedding party, Shannon and Marc asked their guests to dress in navy and gray so that everyone was included (plus, the matching colors looked great in pictures). They gave their florist, Mary Laine of Cache Flower Design, total creative freedom to create eclectic, wild arrangements, which blew Shannon and Marc away. (Mary grows all her flowers in her yard.) Another thing to love about this wedding was how Shannon and Marc supported their friends’ small businesses, with catering by Cafe Ville Bella and their pretty wedding cake from AMP Cakes (Shannon says it was so delicious, it could make anyone’s day).
