For their intimate wedding at the Sebasco Harbor Resort in Phippsburg, Maine, Laura and Lee allowed the beauty of the venue's natural setting to take center stage, keeping the decor to a minimum, except for a selection of handcrafted DIY details like fabric flowers and a wooden guest book plaque.

Simple bunches of white and pink flowers filled miniature mason jars at the center of each table.
The couple chose unique gold diamond wedding bands with embellished wave details.
Laura made Lee's boutonniere, along with the flowers in her own bouquet, from fabric.
Laura and Lee incorporated vintage props into the decor, such as a wood soda crate used in place of a more traditional flower vase.
The cake topper spelled out Milele, which means forever in Swahili.
The couple kept things simple for the reception, choosing rustic woodland elements with pops of fresh colors mixed in. Burlap table runners lined the tables and were dotted with wood plaques, bright napkins and simple floral arrangements.
Laura custom designed all of the colorful invitations herself.
The flower girl and ring bearer wore bright shades of orange, pink and coral.
The menu cards had the same chalkboard-inspired look as the couple's invitations. Under each was a brightly colored, polka dot napkin that really made the cards pop.
Because there were only 28 guests, an entire guest book seemed silly. They would have only filled half a page!, says Laura. Plus, I wanted a beautiful way to display the memory of our wedding and everyone who was there. I came up with the idea of the tree slice in the fall before the wedding when we went to visit Sebasco. I'd only tried woodburning at girl scout camp about 15 years ago, but thought the effect would be perfect. And it is!
For the ceremony, Laura's mother made festive streamers for guests to wave in celebration.
Both Laura and Lee opted for casual kicks. Laura chose a pair of pink wingtip flats, while Lee selected laidback Sperry boat shoes in cream, orange and tan.
