An Intimate Winter Wedding at Albemarle Inn in Asheville, North Carolina

Drue Fritschle (25 and a pharmacist) and Jon Clark (26 and works in supply management) knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding: Christmastime details and vintage flair. “I always wanted a winter wedding, and we wanted to acknowledge it was so close to Christmas without being cheesy or tacky,” Drue says. “We kept our colors neutral, but when we wanted a pop of color, we went with red. We ended up using mostly a silver and red combination. This also tied into my vintage-glam style. The inn was decorated for Christmas, so we didn't have much to do with decor.” Drue and Jon kept their wedding super-intimate with only their immediate families in attendance (eight guests total), which helped them focus on themselves as a couple instead of being overwhelmed by the details and stress of a big wedding. Albemarle Inn in Asheville, North Carolina, was the perfect location since it was only a few hours from their home—a perfect staycation-style soiree. “When we saw the Albemarle Inn, we knew it was the perfect location,” Drue says. “It has a Southern mansion feel to it, and the antique look of the inn was very much my style. Since it was December, we weren't sure if we would be able to have the wedding outside in front of the inn, but we got lucky with a beautiful sunny day.” One of our favorite details of the day was Drue’s amazing Casablanca wedding dress. She completed her look with a white fur stole from Etsy and bright red Betsey Johnson shoes. “I am so happy with the royal, winter look it gave me,” she says.
