A Rustic, Autumn-Inspired Wedding at Gardener Ranch in Carmel Valley, California

Since Nicole Mundle's (28 and a marketing director) profession involved planning, we weren’t surprised that she and Bentley Mundle (30 and a golf professional) searched high and low before settling on the ideal ranch venue for their natural, rustic wedding. “We had had seen every site to possibly hold an event on the Monterey Peninsula, and this by far was the most awe-inspiring venue," the couple says. Having no desire to be limited with a strict color palette, the couple chose a variety of natural shades that went with the fall season and mixed in wooden accents. Guests were invited to the rustic occasion that took place at Gardener Ranch in Carmel Valley, California, through simple invitations printed on white stationery that were accented with burnt orange and a horse design, which appeared on signs and linens throughout the day. Nicole made sure to use her vintage cowboy boots, which she wore with her champagne-colored wedding dress accented with lace that was designed by Naheem Khan. Buena Lane Photography captured the couple getting married outside on the open ranch property, where wooden folding chairs lining the aisle were decorated with orange ribbon. Guests were given small handblown glass terrariums filled with moss and succulents to remember the wedding day. What really caught our attention were the vibrant rose and sunflower arrangements accented with dusty miller and placed inside white pumpkins, inspired by the autumnal seasonal palette as well. "The best advice I can give anyone planning a wedding or event is to plan for perfection, but not to expect it," Nicole says. "It is your special day and things will go wrong. Roll with the punches and know that you are the only one who will know."
