After seeing Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s glam country wedding, Heather Morales (29 and an administrative assistant) and Jeremy Guthrie (38 and a senior OSS engineer) knew they wanted their celebration to be just that, with a little rustic flair. Absolutely everything fit their rustic, country themes. We’re talking cowboy boots for the entire bridal party, a ceremony in front of a wooden water mill, a vintage pickup truck backdrop for photos, mason jar stemware and a sweetheart table dripping in burlap and lace fabric—all at Gigi's Country Garden in Plant City, Florida. Keeping things authentic, Heather and Jeremy even had their intimate dinner catered by Smokin' Aces BBQ. The menu was filled with pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, sweet tea and baked beans. Their 45 friends and family members sampled the cuisine with a cold Bud Light or one of Jeremy’s apple pie moonshine-inspired signature cocktails. Of course, their DJ from DJ Grand Entertainment started the party with country music, including a few tunes from Johnny Cash. “We didn't miss a single song, I don't think,” Heather says. “We also laughed until we cried. I still smile just thinking about it. The night was truly magical.” See every sweet moment of their custom affair shot by Hope & Anchor Photography, below.

Rather than just picking one look for the bridesmaids, they went with three. Each woman chose her knee-length chiffon dress in a dusty rose, ivory or blush hue. While their makeup, hairstyles and dress styles differed, the looks were tied together with these dark cowboy boots. “I wanted them to feel comfortable,” Heather says.
“As soon as I walked through the doors at Gigi's Country Garden, I knew I wanted to get married there. I didn't have to look anywhere else,” Heather says. “I remember standing where our ceremony would take place with a beautiful water mill as our backdrop and looking at my fiance and saying 'This is where we will start our forever.' ” The rustic mill was decorated with a wreath of sunflowers, burlap, and fall leaves. Since burlap was all over their reception, it was the perfect accent to tie everything together.

After Miranda Lambert wore those chic ivory cowboy boots with her wedding dress, Heather knew she wanted the same thing. She paired her dress with neutral cowboy boots that were covered in heart-shaped cutouts. They even had matching metal hearts along the top. “I’m glad they were comfortable because we danced all night,” Heather says.

“Having Jeremy's daughter included in our ceremony was the biggest thing,” Heather says. “After we said our vows, the officiant called Emma up to us. She and I did our own vows and Jeremy had a special speech prepared for Emma. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Thank God for waterproof mascara!”
For the flower arrangements, they chose something a little more sustainable. Instead of carrying natural flowers, Heather picked out an arrangement of bright pink peonies and garden roses from a local Michaels craft store. A matching pink, flower-inspired detail topped the arrangement for some added sparkle.

For the groomsmen, they wanted a more relaxed look. Each man wore an ivory shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a matching striped tie and neutral pants. (It was both dapper and easy to move in, so they could have some fun during the cocktail hour and reception.) To distinguish himself, Jeremy chose the same casual look with a neutral vest.

Their sweetheart table was covered in burlap. Placed below an archway dripping in the fabric and tulle, their actual table was covered with a burlap linen and matching a burlap “just married” banner.
Their garden setting at Gigi's Country Garden in Plant City, Florida, wasn't lost in the decor. The centerpieces had tiered, natural wood slabs below actual oil lamps. Fabric flowers and greenery circled the bases. To tie in both their setting and country design, Heather and Jeremy topped the accent with a burlap and lace butterfly.
After a dinner filled with barbecue favorites, their 45 guests had the option of a few sweets. Three types of cupcakes as well as a single-tier buttercream cake from a local Publix were all available for them to savor. The decor made it even more enticing with ivy popping out from beneath the stand and a grandiose wreath filled with fabric sunflowers and fall leaves as the backdrop.
