An Urban, Rustic Wedding at Via Vecchia Winery in Columbus, Ohio
Brick and wood details embodied rustic charm inside the Via Vecchia Winery, an old warehouse renovated into a venue in the brewery district in Columbus, Ohio. Alison Friend (34 and a national accountant manager) and Drew Thibaut (35 and a logistics manager), sold by the winery's allure, booked the space for their classic, rustic wedding, which took place on their 800-day anniversary. Without Losing Your Mind event planners helped set up the ceremony outside the building in the brick alley, where the aisle lined with baby’s breath led to the altar decorated with lanterns and more baby’s breath on top of wooden barrels. It was all captured on camera by Kaylina Norton Photography. Inside the winery, guests found the vintage French doors seating chart with their names and tables written on the windowpanes, named after the stadiums Alison and Drew have visited together. The navy blue and green palette mixed with wood details was seen throughout the reception's decor—the navy blue and white dinnerware set at the wooden tables, the lush baby's breath and hydrangea centerpieces, the mouthwatering green and white layered cake with blueberries on top. We can't forget to mention how much we loved the Alison's gorgeous Sincerity Bridal wedding dress, which was a strapless ivory gown with a sweetheart neckline that was accented with a cream-colored fabric flower belt. "On your wedding day, take a moment to look around, soak everything in and enjoy yourself," Alison says. "Oh, and trust your mom. She knows best."
