Bride With Vintage Gown and Pink Sash

What do you do when you can't find the gown of your dreams? Hire a seamstress to create it for you. Sarah selected fabric and a Vintage Vogue pattern from Treadle Yard Goods in St. Paul, and worked with seamstress Michelle Hougland to create a look that was exactly what she envisioned. Adapted from a 1950s pattern, the off-white dress had a full cotton voile and silk skirt, a fitted lace bodice with a bateau neckline, elbow-length sleeves and a dyed silk rose-colored sash. Michelle also made Sarah’s fingertip-length tulle veil.
