An Elegant, Rustic Wedding at Bull Run Winery in Centreville, Virginia
One night, Travis Heath (37 and a construction superintendent) had to tie his shoe. He had just had dinner with his girlfriend of two years, Cheryl Heath (37 and a financial analyst), and she was waiting patiently for him to let her into the car. Unbeknownst to her, Travis had chosen the spot where the couple had shared their first kiss to tie his shoe. He pulled out a ring and asked for Cheryl to marry him. They were married at the Bull Run Winery in Centreville, Virginia, near the Manassas Battlefield. "We wanted a rustic and elegant wedding," says Cheryl. "We wanted every part of our wedding to be for our guests as well as for us." Cheryl and Travis chose a playful color palette of orange, cream and green with brown accents. Cheryl's beautiful and vibrant bouquet included orange calla lilies and green cymbidium orchids, and the flower girls, Travis' daughters, walked down the aisle wearing lime green dresses as they threw orange rose petals. During cocktail hour, guests sipped on their drinks from mason jars while listening to a live bluegrass band. The barn reception was decorated in string lights and orange and white centerpieces, and the newlyweds' family and friends celebrated by dancing and snapping memories at the photo booth. Cheryl and Travis say they truly enjoyed planning their festive wedding. "If you think of your day as a big party and the beginning of a wonderful new adventure, the pressure is off and the fun begins!"
