Classic, Traditional Wedding at The Allan House in Austin, Texas

Anne Elise Rider (29, pharmacist) and Tyler Nowlin (29, finance) got engaged seven months after their first date. With Anne Elise being from Montana, and Tyler being from a small town in the Texas Panhandle, deciding where to get married was far from easy, but the couple decided on Austin since it was the place they met, fell in love and now call home. Their wedding day was a sunny day in early February, and The Allan House was the perfect classic, centrally-located venue for the couple and their guests, complete with a clear winter tent so everyone could stay warm and comfortable. Anne Elise’s matron of honor gave her advice that influenced the couple’s planning: Pick three things that matter the most and don’t sweat (too much) about the rest. “For us, our three things were having a meaningful ceremony, enjoying great music throughout the night and serving fabulous food,” says Anne Elise. “Overall I wanted to keep the wedding simple, classic and traditional.” The couple chose navy and white for their palette, played up with fun pops of coral. Tyler’s father conducted the ceremony, which was extremely special and memorable for the couple. “Our goal was to create a very personal day surrounded by the people we love the most,” says Anne Elise. “We succeeded!”
