Four months before the wedding, Meghan tried on her lace, mermaid-style BHLDN gown and found that it needed to be taken in two sizes. The alterations had a hefty price tag and the potential to change the gown’s appearance. “Panic mode ensued. And I ended up in a local store that does a lot of custom dresses,” Meghan says. “The first dress was nothing that I had pictured wearing on my wedding day, but I loved how I looked in it. The second dress was what I had imagined as a little girl. It had lace, a corset back, a big skirt and a small train.” Meghan added an embellished pink satin belt and floral pumps for the ceremony to add a subtle punch of color to her look.
