Jennifer Childress (32, a registered nurse) and Matt Jones (34, a realtor) met while Matt was showing Jennifer an apartment available to rent in his building. Later on, Matt found Jennifer on social media and messaged her since he was too nervous earlier that day to ask her out in person. They fell in love over time, and after four years of living together, Matt proposed on the rooftop of City Hall in San Francisco where they actually ended up having their wedding. “Before proposing, I took Jen to Single Stone LA jewelry store and they pretended our “one-of-a-kind” ring was sold out and could not be replicated,” says Matt. “When then went to the rooftop of City Hall to “take pictures” of the city since it was such a beautiful day. I got down on one knee, she thankfully said yes and the rest is history.” The venue inspired the couple to have a vintage, modern and timeless wedding all in one, working with the historic building to create the perfect look that they had visualized. Jennifer and Matt had an intimate wedding between the two of them and their parents to make the occasion really about their love.

“We got married at San Francisco City Hall,” says Matt. “We chose the location because we wanted an intimate wedding with only our parents who live in Northern California. It also helped that we absolutely love the building and the city.”
Jennifer stood wearing a pair of open-toed silver shoes with an ankle strap designed by Menbur, with a pastel bridal bouquet next to her.
“Jen was no bridezilla and thankfully found her dress on day one of shopping,” says Matt. “Upon trying it on, I said she looked as if she was born in the dress. Thankfully, her parents agreed.”
“After attending so many large weddings over the years, we wanted our day to be simply about us with only our parents,” says Matt. “It was intimate, special and perfect.”

“Weddings don't have to be big to be special,” says Matt. “It was everything to have a special day that didn't break the bank and we wouldn't change a thing. That being said, it doesn't hurt to plan ahead.”
The bride and groom exited their ceremony as a married couple through the golden doors of San Francisco City Hall.
“Immediately after our wedding, our limo driver took us around town to sight see, take pictures and sip champagne,” says Matt. “We then had cocktails in the lobby bar of The Clift, our hotel, and then finished our evening at the classic Harris’s Steakhouse in Nob Hill.”
