An Intimate, Rustic Wedding at Venue2Remember in Jasper, Georgia

Andrew Britt (33 and a sales manager) and Mallory McLane (27 and an insurance agent) met through Mallory's best friend's husband when Andy moved to Atlanta from Orlando. Their friends played matchmaker and set up a group dinner, where Andy and Mallory bonded right from the start. After dating for two years, Andy proposed on a getaway to Florida, where he took her on a walk along the beach at sunset and got down on one knee. They had an incredibly intimate wedding with just thirty-five guests at Venue2Remember, a carriage house overlooking the North Georgia mountains in Jasper, Georgia. "It was rustic, charming, and everything we wanted," Mallory says. Since they had such a small wedding, they decided against a traditional wedding party, letting their friends and family dress comfortably in whatever they wanted. Mallory wore a strapless, cotton blend, sheath dress with lace overlay and a beaded-edge, elbow-length veil. They incorporated a navy and pink color scheme with touches of glitter in the decor for some romantic sparkle. Instead of a formal cocktail hour, guests played lawn games outside while the couple took their wedding photos. The reception was catered by a local BBQ and Asian-inspired food truck with tequila-lime marinated beef tenderloin, smokes chicken, bourbon baked beans, and refreshing Hawaiian slaw. For favors, Mallory's mother made cashew brittle with raspberry peach champagne jam. "The laid back atmosphere represented who we are. sharin the day with our closest family and friends allowed us to remember everything about that special day, and we will cherish it forever," Mallory concludes.
