Lea and Gene first met at the local watering hole one night. The two started talking, and at the end of the night, Lea agreed to give Gene her phone number, not thinking he would use it. Two days later, he called to ask her out on an official date. “I remember calling my friend immediately afterward to ask if he was cute because I had had a few too many drinks that night,” Lea says. He was the real deal, and soon the couple was dating.
