As a former touring musician, good music was high on Jason’s priority list. One of the couple’s favorite jazz musicians from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, played during cocktail hour, while dinner was filled with a mix of Jason and Shannon’s favorite indie and acoustic rock songs from their high school years. “During dinner my husband actually broke out the guitar and played and sang one our favorite songs, ‘I Will Follow You Into the Dark’ by Death Cab for Cutie,” Shannon says. And Jason wasn’t the only one to perform that evening; his best man later took the floor and sang a showstopping rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” by Elvis Presley.
