Luxurious Wedding Reception at Pleasantdale Chateau

"Our wedding color palette was filled with soft tones such as silk white, silver, blush and champagne with hints of light lavender in the ballroom for contrast and plenty of sparkle and iridescence," Elena says. "To contrast the more garden-inspired, country feel of the outdoor and indoor décor of the Chateau, my mother (who very luckily for Peter and I is a gifted interior designer) designed the ballroom to embody glamour and truly stand out. From the moment I walked in for the first time, I was mesmerized. It was dripping with candles that exuded a soft, sustained glimmering that invited nothing but romance. My mother had done an outstanding job -- the ballroom was truly spectacular. She kept all décor and flowers silky white and iridescent with only hints of blush and champagne to act as a clean palette for the dramatic whitish-lavender uplighting and a slightly out of focus soft gold paisley ceiling pattern that accented the dramatic dome. One of my favorite elements in the ballroom were our table numbers. They were standing oval mirrors with each table number written in crystals rhinestones. Each table was sparkling, ethereal and the mirrors reflected the ceiling and uplighting and drew in even more of the soft lavenders and golds, right down into the tables."
