Todd Eldredge may be king of the ice -- this U.S. figure skater does hold six national titles -- but his bride Megan got to be queen for a day in St. Petersburg. The Bride Megan McCrea, model The Groom Todd Eldredge, figure skater The Date September 3 It may be hard to believe that a small-town girl from Alliance, Ohio, could win the heart of a world-renowned athlete, but that is just what Megan McCrea did. After a crowd-pleasing performance in Stars on Ice, Todd noticed Megan as he skated off the rink -- and introduced himself. Megan was smitten immediately.

The Centerpieces
While some weddings are all about the bride, Megan worked to incorporate Todd's passions into their special day. The ring bearer walked down the aisle carrying Todd's very first pair of ice skates (saved by his mother). The wedding bands were strategically tied to the laces, and pink bows were tied to each skate too.
The 5,500 pink roses that were flown in for the bouquets and centerpieces, delicate shades of Megan's favorite color, dominated the wedding decor.
The Programs
Megan's 10 bridesmaids wore cotton-candy-pink dresses.
The Favors
Before an excited Megan arrived at the altar, five little girls provided a bit of whimsy as they padded down a rose-petal-strewn aisle in enchanting ensembles: one angel (halo and all), two fairies (with wings made by the bride's mom), and two flower girls were all clad in white dresses adorned with hand-painted pink roses (also created by the mother of the bride). With all these angels and fairies by my side, my wedding was sure to be magical, Megan says.
Despite all the pink pageantry, it was impossible not to take notice of the lady in white. I wanted to feel like a princess, Megan says, and she certainly looked the part with an intricate corset bodice and a breathtaking pickup skirt that surrounded her in layers of fluffy white. Megan needed to be given special instructions on how to walk, but despite the high drama that comes with wearing a gown of this magnitude, she wouldn't have had it any other way. Her philosophy: Go big, because it only happens once.
The Cake
The Ceremony Decor
Surrounded by friends, family, and a few swaying palm tress, Megan and Todd exchanged vows on the steps of The Pink Palace courtyard, but there was a hometown feel for Megan too. Her local vendors, including her DJ, hair stylist, and photographer, were there to provide a personal touch. But perhaps the most touching display of back-home charm came when Megan's father and his band, The Soul Blazers, sang Grow Old Along With Me during the ceremony.
