Nicole and Joey planned a garden-inspired spring celebration that was filled with memorable moments, including a stop at the restaurant where the two first met. THE BRIDE Nicole Regan, 29, a senior accountant THE GROOM Joseph (Joey) Scharibone, 31, the manager and head cook of a family-owned restaurant THE DATE May 22 Joey knew the way to Nicole's heart: through her stomach. His family has owned JoJo's Restaurant and Tavern in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, for more than 40 years, and it was his delicious pizza that kept Nicole, coming back for more. After one slice, I was hooked, she says. During her frequent trips to JoJo's, she'd wave to Joey, he'd wave back, and that would be the end of their interaction. But one evening, he joined Nicole, her cousin, and her friends at their table, and by the end of the night they had a date planned. A little more than a year later on Christmas Eve, Joey proposed.

Italian themes ran through Nicole and Joey's reception menu, including elaborate desserts at a Viennese table and a five-tier butter pound cake. Most Italians center their celebration on food, laughs Nicole. And judging by the amount of food we had, there was no doubt of our backgrounds.
Nicole and Joey's reception was held at Belle Voir Manor. Dinner was served in the ballroom, and the couple made their grand entrance to the theme from The Godfather. We're both Italian, so we thought it would be perfect, explains Nicole.
Nicole's bridesmaids wore black floor-length, strapless dresses with a chiffon halter overlay from Vera Wang.
The couple wed during an elegant afternoon ceremony at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Trenton, a historic New Jersey site resplendent with hand-painted murals of soaring angels and saints on the ceilings.
Nicole was resplendent in a white duchesse satin strapless gown with hand beading and embroidery by Lazaro.
