For their Cape Cod wedding, Stephanie and Shaun leaned into a boho aesthetic with a beige-and-peach color palette. To bring their vision to life the couple filled their wedding with contemporary, curvilinear signage and boho pampas grass-centric floral designs. The day began with a waterfront wedding ceremony where the couple exchanged vows in front of a round boho arch after processing down an aisle laden with vintage rugs. Following the wedding ceremony, guests received luggage tags during cocktail hour that served as their escort cards for the dinner reception. As for the reception itself, the couple filled their ballroom space with tall pampas grass centerpieces, plenty of candlelight and woven details throughout.

"We chose to get married in Cape Cod because it holds special meaning for the both of us," shares Stephanie. "We both used to vacation there as kids separately and it was also the first vacation Shaun and I ever went on together when we started dating. Getting married on the water was exceptionally important to us and Wequassett just has the most stunning views of the ocean. After touring there it was an instantaneous yes from the both of us that it would be where we would get married. If I could describe our wedding day in a sentence it would be an elevated and dreamy boho chic wedding with a whole lot of pampas. I gravitate toward all things bohemian, so it was an obvious starting point for my inspiration. I had a very specific color palette that encompassed primarily neutral colors—white, cream, and nude with pops of coral, dusty rose, and terracotta sprinkled throughout. This color palette was incorporated in every single detail from the wedding invitations to the napkins and personalized menu cards at the dinner tables. In sticking with the bohemian style there were also several elements of wicker and rattan that were incorporated into our décor and design."

In terms of the decor for the Stephanie and Shaun's wedding at Wequasset Resort in Harwich, Massachusetts, the couple filled their ceremony with "vintage rugs that overlapped each other and were surrounded with baby’s breath on either side to create the most whimsical walkway that led to our circular geometric altar," says Stephanie. "Cocktail hour featured a boho lounge with macrame and velvet pillows and a photo op that was anything but ordinary. I absolutely love taking pictures so I knew that I wanted our guests to have something they could take photos in front of that was unique, rather than a traditional photo booth. A beautiful rattan bench that was adorned with chic pillows and gold accents was placed in front of an enormous vintage gold mirror. We placed our Polaroid cameras and guest book on a long wooden antique table adjacent to the photo op which encouraged our guests to sit down and snap a memorable picture for us and for them!"

In addition to the curated lounge and photo booth station the couple included in their wedding, floral arrangements also played a big role in helping the duo bring their boho vision to life. "I wanted to incorporate a lot of texture into the florals at our wedding. An array of pampas grass, palms, bleached fern, roses and dried blooms were used. It was an overall muted palette with pops of coral and terracotta to tie into the color scheme."

To bring some personalization into their wedding plans, the couple paid homage to the fact that their relationship was long-distance in the early days of their love story by gifting guests luggage tag wedding favors. "Shaun and I lived in two different states during the first year of our relationship and we would often have conversations and text messages that began with 'One day, someday.' For example, we'd say 'One day, someday we will live with each other' or 'one day, someday I’ll get to wake up every day next to you.' For us, it was always a matter of when, not if. So, it became our little thing that we would say when thinking dreamily of our future lives together and what they would hold for us. This saying echoed throughout our wedding on signage, in our ceremony and vows, and was also sewn into Shaun's suit. Shaun and I are also extremely passionate about traveling and exploring new places together. So, we decided to do a luggage tag wall which acted as both our wedding favor and escort card display. We ordered custom initialed leather luggage tags for each of our wedding guests and labeled the tags with their full name and table number," explains Stephanie.

Looking back on her wedding at Wequasset Resort in Harwich, Massachusetts, Stephanie encourages current to-be-weds in the throes of wedding planning to remember that "vision boards and excel templates are going to be your best friend. Take things piece by piece and create different vision boards for different elements of your wedding. By breaking up the design into smaller pieces it makes planning a lot less overwhelming because you can start to cross things off your list a lot easier. For example, have a vision board solely for your sweetheart table, ceremony, escort tags, etc. and then put a design together for each of those items rather than one vision board for everything. It helps you stay organized! All that matters, in the end, is that you are marrying your best friend. That love will carry you through any obstacles you face during your planning."
