An Asian-Inspired Wedding at Market Street Emporium in Nashville, Tennessee

When Kristin Dugger (28 and an independent consultant) first met Nikola Cuculovski (24 and a performance analyst) at a party in college, he was talking about pineapples. She was hooked from the start and the pair dated for four years before getting engaged and spent the next six months planning their Tennessee nuptials. Kristin and Nikola searched for a small venue with character and decided on the Market Street Emporium in Nashville, Tennessee. "They have two venues that were perfect, and the Market Street Emporium was the perfect location for our vision," Kristin says. The couple achieved their Asian-inspired affair with cherry blossom decor, Asian cuisine and takeout box favors. The plum bridesmaid dresses enhanced the deep purple and cherry blossom pink color palette, and the soft florals included peonies, calla lilies, cabbage roses and lilies. Lush cherry blossom branches popped against the rustic exposed brick walls, and the submerged flower and candle centerpieces added a contemporary vibe. After a night of dancing, guests left with Asian-inspired fans and goodies from a candy station complete with takeout boxes. "Since we were married on a Friday, we also decided to also have a cookout on Saturday afternoon for guests who were still in town!" Kristin says.
