Rebecca and Charles (Charlie) do everything together, right down to putting together a wedding proposal. When Charlie decided to buy an engagement ring for Rebecca he made his intentions perfectly clear. “He asked me to go to the store to pick it out together!” Rebecca says. The Bride Rebecca Erickson,31, wedding photographer The Groom Charles (Charlie) Cohen, 27, wedding photographer The Date September 30 When they began planning their wedding, the couple's occupation prepared them for all potential pitfalls. At every wedding she worked, “I would take a mental note of dos and definite don’ts,” Rebecca says. All that nuptial experience certainly paid off, as the couple hosted 150 of their closest friends and family at a cozy beachfront wedding with a vintage twist.

Rebecca’s vintage-style gown helped inspire a theme that the couple carried throughout the wedding. “Once I found my dress I realized my original, hot pink bridesmaids’ dresses were out,” she says. The couple also borrowed the look for their formalwear and included pinstripes and polka dots in many elements of their wedding.
The ceremony took place in front of a gazebo on the beach, with palm trees swaying in the background.
The interior of Windows on the Water maintained a light, clean feel. The tables were covered with white linens and topped with small centerpieces of white blooms in vases covered with blue tweed.
Flip-flops in the wedding's signature colors were available for guests at the ceremony and by the dance floor.
A seating chart showcased vintage-inspired cards, that were printed with each table number and the names of all the guests in attendance.
The couple continued their wedding’s polka-dot theme with their cake. The light blue confection was covered with brown dots in varying sizes, and it was just as delicious as it looked—the white cake with strawberry filling “tasted like strawberry shortcake,” Rebecca says.
Rebecca and Charlie included pinstripes, polka dots, and their vintage-inspired monogram in their invitations.
The candy bar featured brown and blue-colored candies such as M&M's and peanut brittle, a favorite of the bride's grandfather.
Rebecca chose a bouquet composed of lily of the valley because she loved the classic look of the arrangement.
At the couple's candy bar, guests could fill up white bags that were hand-stamped with the line Have a sweet goodnight.
The classic white menu cards with brown font were given a fun, beachy touch with light blue ribbons.
Rebecca loved the guys’ unique leucadendron boutonnieres. “I asked for something small and funky,” she says, “and that’s exactly what they were!”

The couple worked closely with their officiant to personalize their ceremony. “We wanted it to be very intimate and funny, and for people to walk away feeling they knew us better as a couple,” says Rebecca.
