Rustic, Elegant Wedding at Olde Dobbin Station in Montgomery, Texas

When Shay Mooney (25 and works for a nonprofit) left her phone number for a waiter on a receipt, she had no idea it would end up in the hands of his roommate: Christian Noriega (32 and a corporate safety supervisor). "Christian sent me an unusual, yet adorably entertaining text," Shay says. "After bantering over the phone for a while without knowing each other’s names—we met and we danced, and the rest is history." For their wedding day, the Lone Star State residents planned a party that was "Texas classy but not formal." The wrought iron and exposed brick of Olde Dobbin Station (a former train station) made the perfect backdrop for their rustic, elegant vision. A neutral color scheme with accents of burlap and lace complemented the beauty of the space without overpowering it. The combination of glam accents, like a long head table topped with rosette-covered linen, and down-home details, like cowboy boots and cupcakes, expertly walked the line between rustic and elegant. —Meghan Overdeep
