Rustic Ranch Wedding at Live Oak Ranch in Spring Branch, Texas

Kasey Farmer (27, 5th grade teacher) and Nathan Forney (28, civil engineer) met while pursuing the discipleship program at T Bar M Camps in New Braunfels, Texas. The two developed feelings for each other, but they were not allowed to date other team members for the duration of the year-long program! They stayed close friends throughout the discipleship, and the day after the team ended, the Baylor Bear and Texas Aggie went on their first date! The couple didn’t let the rain damper their plans for an outdoor ceremony at Live Oak Ranch; they moved their wedding indoors to the intimate barn with overhead string lights and draped linen. Kasey carried a stunning ivory and green bouquet, wrapped in burlap with a bursting rosette succulent in the center that blended in with the natural grays, browns and greens of the beautiful, rustic ranch and surrounding land. The couple honored many close friends and family members by giving them a part in their ceremony, including three officiants, making the day even more special and personal. The cocktail hour took place around a fire pit next to a saddle barn that displayed a tin sign Kasey and her sister made of the couple’s names. The reception turned in a barn dance party with melodies from the lively ten-piece soul band, The Nightowls, which kept guests on the dance floor all night long. Kasey and Nathan made their grand exit between two lines of sparklers leading out of the barn and into the Mercedes GLK that carried them away to start their life together.
