After months of hearing from a mutual friend how they "had to meet," Teresa LaVallee (26, and a Spanish teacher) and Matthew Alessandrini (32, and a fourth grade teacher) finally agreed to meet up for coffee at Panera. And that was it! "We just hit it off," recalls Teresa. A couple of years later, Matthew slipped a custom engagement ring (he had his grandmother's diamonds reset) on her finger and they embarked on their next journey together. When it came time to plan their wedding, Teresa and Matthew knew they wanted to get married outdoors, and decided on a rustic theme to complement their al fresco Heritage Park ceremony in Teresa's hometown of Westerville.  Vintage details nodded to their love for antique shopping, while a rainbow of purple hues tied it all together. A large wooden cross served as the focal point for the devout Christian wedding ceremony, and the aisles were lined with large wooden signs painted with the bible verse from 1 Corinthians 13.  After the ceremony, guests joined the couple 45 minutes away in Matthew's hometown of Van Wert for a night of dinner and dancing. Our favorite touch: in place of table numbers, they decided to use table "places", and labeled each table with a location of significance to them. These included places they had traveled together, our favorite restaurants and date spots, and locations of special memories they had shared. —Meghan Overdeep
