Soft Shades of Blue Brought This Seabrook Island Club Wedding in South Carolina to Life
Erin and Nate’s wedding at the Seabrook Island Club in South Carolina embodied a modern take on a romantic wedding, complete with a dreamy color palette of cream and dusty blue with gold accents. The couple wanted their wedding to a “channel a classic-but-modern look and feel.” Seabrook Island is Erin’s favorite place and they wanted the naturally beautiful setting to shine through. “I just wanted my guests to feel like they were entering a beautiful, yet comfortable setting! Two of my favorite components were the cocktail napkins with a water color of our dog Zach as well as our personalized crest on the dance floor! Additionally, The flowers were absolutely incredible--beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of! I gravitate toward whites, creams and greenery , and Petaloso was able to still make it just a bit different by incorporating unique flowers like orchids. I still cannot get over the head table setting; it was really the focal point and our guests were talking about it months later.” The iconic head table floral arrangement wasn’t so much an arrangement as an installation. The couple’s floral designers erected a frame over the table and decked it out with lush trailing greenery and blooms so guests felt like they were in a romantic garden while they were seated in their blue velvet dinner chairs.
The special dances, Erin’s first dance with Nate as well as her dance with her father, were some of her favorite moments from the day. The father-daughter dance was made extra-special by the fact that her father was actually the one to select the couple’s wedding band. “The day after Nate and I were engaged, my dad booked the band. He is a huge believer that music, food and the band make the wedding memorable! He had done a ton of research and Sam Hill Entertainment blew him away, so it was done! Everyone was on the dance floor feeling as if they were front row in a concert—it was absolutely amazing!” recalls Erin of the dance-packed reception at Seabrook Island Club.
