For Suzanne and Jack, Rough Creek Lodge was an intriguing dichotomy of elegance and rustic style. Both of our fathers are hunters, says Suzanne, and there was no question that this was the perfect place for our wedding. In the nine months that followed, Suzanne and her mom put together a wedding for 250 guests, mostly relying on the advice of recently married friends.

Suzanne wore a gorgeous Romona Keveza gown for the ceremony, while her maids were dressed in tops by Vera Wang and skirts from Ann Taylor.
The Christian wedding ceremony was held in the lodge's Great Room, which, with its soaring ceilings and tall glass windows, has a cathedral-like sense of grandeur. On her way down the aisle, Suzanne's cathedral-length wedding veil got snagged on an air-conditioning vent, causing a brief de-tangling pause in the procession.
