The Bride Rocked a Black Dress for This Glam Wedding at Mt. Washington Mill Dye House in Baltimore

Nakia and Eric tied the knot with a glam wedding at Mt. Washington Mill Dye House in Baltimore, Maryland, and filled the event with a romantic color palette of blush, gold, black and bronze. From balloon installations to a champagne escort card wall, the entire event was truly epic. The most epic detail of all, however, was the fashion. Nakia rocked a black wedding dress while Eric donned a black-and-white tuxedo with decadent embroidered trim. "I went untraditional with my wedding gown and wore black which is my favorite color," explains Nakia. "I wanted my gown to match my personality." And to round out the memorable outfits, Nakia's bridesmaids slipped into luxe rose-gold ensembles.

Music was a big part of the couple's event. To kick off the wedding celebration, a violinist welcomed guests to the ceremony. At the reception, Nakia explains that they chose to hire a percussionist to accompany the DJ to add some flair to the evening's musical offerings. But the most memorable musical element of the night actually didn't come from a hired vendor, but rather one of the couple's guests. During Nakia and Eric's first dance, a musically minded attendee sang along and Nakia looks back on that serenade as one of her favorite moments from the day. Though the couple's first dance was her favorite moment, the most anticipated moment of the day took place earlier: the first look. "The most anticipated moment was the first look. Seeing my soon-to-be husband for the first time and him seeing me," recalls Nakia fondly.

Looking back on their glam wedding at Mt. Washington Mill Dye House in Baltimore, Maryland, Nakia and Eric encourage current couples in the wedding-planning process to "take your time and plan accordingly. Make sure you get a planner as they are very important and will help keep your stress level down. Also, set up a time frame for paying for your wedding so you won't go in debt since weddings can be extremely expensive. Lastly, enjoy the moments and take it all in!"
