The Ceremony

Though the couple initially planned to get married in Hawaii, a destination wedding closer to home in central California made more sense -- their friends and family in the northern and southern parts of the state could make a fun, affordable weekend of it. And since their top priority was a wedding by the water, the Highlands Inn was perfect for Stephanie and Damon. “The reception site overlooked the water, but we were most enamored with the sight behind the ceremony site, with the waves crashing on the rocks,” the bride says.
