The Ceremony
Tanya and Louie worked with their officiant, a Universalist minister and longtime friend of the groom’s family, to create a totally personalized ceremony. They included some Jewish traditions in honor of the bride’s heritage, as well as a Bible reading, poetry, and children’s stories. As the couple kissed at the end of the ceremony, their officiant asked each guest to “make his or her own cry of joy unto the universe,” Tanya says.
