A Formal Downtown Wedding at The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta

Jessica (28 and a physician) and Drew (29 and a sales accountant) loved the idea of hosting their sophisticated nuptials at a hotel to maximize time with friends and family throughout their wedding weekend. After 10 months of planning, they invited guests to attend their spring celebration at The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta. Chosen for its charm, character and uniquely Southern feel, their refined space was filled with warm candles to set a welcoming tone from the start. Guests were greeted with a cocktail hour of mini grilled cheeses and tomato basil soup -- the bride's favorite meal -- upon arrival, and Drew had a hand in choosing the dinner options, which included both steak and chicken. A gray, peach and ivory color palette helped the couple achieve an elegant feel, and glowing candelabras encouraged the warm ambience. When it came to flowers, Jessica has fond memories of arranging fresh bunches from her grandmother's hydrangea bushes and gravitated toward hydrangea centerpieces with peach garden rose accents. The newlyweds made an effort throughout the entire weekend to encourage friends and families to mingle and have a good time with each other. "At the end of the day it was all about enjoying those moments with the people we cared about the most!" says Jessica.
