One of the most complicated parts of planning the wedding was choosing the date, says Theera. Since we were having a Thai ceremony, my mother consulted Buddhist monks and astrologists in Thailand to find the perfect date according to our birthdates and times. After choosing date, Theera journeyed to Thailand to collect all of the Thai elements of her wedding -- including all three of her wedding gowns. After meeting with the head designer at the top bridal couture house in Thailand, three gowns were custom-created for Theera with fabrics like sumptuous gold iridescent silk, and ivory silk with pearls and crystals. Kevin planned to wear a royal blue Thai wedding jacket with ivory gabardine pants.
