This Urban Wedding at MyMoon in Brooklyn, New York, Started with a Skyline-Filled First Look

Every part of Naria Williams and Michael Frazer's urban wedding highlighted the beauty of the city, starting with a first look with sweeping views of the East River. It was no accident that the city was on full display—as they planned their celebration, it was key to Naria and Michael that they create, "An integrated vibe that felt like home—urban, modern and inviting." They go on to share that, "We wanted to create an experience that captured our essence. We value community, cultural experiences and faith. We also wanted to pay homage to our backgrounds—Naria is from Atlanta and Mike is from the Bronx with Jamaican roots." Even the couple's fashion choices were inspired by the beauty of New York City. "Naria went for a modern and chic take on a NYC bride. She was inspired by New York's architecture—the dress was form fitted with modern lines. Her overall look was Hollywood glam. Mike went for a modern lux look, with a double breasted tux. The custom made jacket featured a unique merlot rose print." In order to further bring to life the ambience they envisioned, floral décor was integral. "We found a local florist who is extremely unique and creative. She plays with texture and color in a sophisticated way, so we made florals central to our day—bouquets, boutonnières, centerpieces, fountain ceremonial backdrop, cake topping, etc. We absolutely loved our arrangements which were fall-inspired and a mixture of dry grass, berries, leaves and fresh cut blooms," they share.
