There is a seven-year age difference between Toni and Steven, and in the early years it was insurmountable. When he was 10 and I was 17, I didn't even see him, laughs Toni. But then as we both became adults, that age difference didn't matter. One evening, they spent hours talking and a romance was born. Steven proposed to Toni at a barbecue party they were hosting, and they set the date for one year later. Considering the size and scope of the weekend-long wedding they planned, with 350 guests traveling up north, the fact that it came together in 12 months is remarkable. But for Toni, the founder, owner, and president of Epoch Restaurant Group (which manages five Michigan restaurants and an off-premise catering company), it was all in a day's work -- just more fun.
