Traditional Red and White Flower Malas

The only flowers used during the traditional Indian wedding ceremony were these malas. Malas are floral garments that the couple wear toward the end of the ceremony around their necks. The flower garlands were made and sent from India the day before the ceremony and included rose petals tightly strung together with gold embellishments and red crystals.
