Yusef Malik (37), a native of Louisiana now residing in Houston TX and Alima Toure (36), a native of Cote d'Ivoire now residing in Manassas Virginia, met in a way that neither would have fore sought but immediately connected. Their journeys may have been worlds apart but both similar & unique keys & notes of their stories induced a swift tempo of an introduction that overlapped and connected forming a unique time signature and harmony. With a shared deep belief in Islam and their shared love for the African Diaspora as their foundation, they will draw upon each other's strengths as they develop the various pieces & sections of their beautiful song.
