Edward and Alex met in 2007. She was in her last year of high school, and Edward had just joined the painter's union. They met one another through a mutual friend, who happened to be dating Edward’s brother. However, Edward didn’t have the courage to really speak to Alex that day. Instead, he convinced their mutual friend to give him Alex’s number. When he finally mustered the strength to call her, that anxiousness quickly dissolved. Their chemistry was instant. Their first unofficial date was at a basketball court in Edwards neighborhood. The two spent the entire afternoon sitting on a park bench, laughing and getting to know each other. From that point on, they met everyday after school, taking the bus together, and having dates at the mall. When Alex went away to college, Edward went to trade school, while working at JFK airport. Edward didn’t let the distance change their relationship. He would drive up the hour to see her, and Alex frequently made the trip back home. The distance was challenging, but made their relationship even stronger.

Alex eventually graduated college and pursued cosmetology school. She got her first salon position in Long Island. Edward briefly worked at Madison Square Garden, however eventually landed his dream job with the Long Island Railroad. On their anniversary, they decided to take their 1st couple’s trip to Mexico. It was at this trip, that they knew Mexico would always be special to them.

Alexandra is now a hairstylist in one of the most elite hair salons in NYC. They both worked so diligently, and remained dedicated in supporting each other’s careers. This dedication remained constant in their relationship. Edward knew that is was time to finally take their relationship to the next level. He decided he would do so while surprising Alex on her 30th birthday to the Bahamas. As if the surprise trip wasn’t enough, he wanted to pop the big question in the biggest way. He decided to hire a professional singer and videographer to make the moment even more magical. Alex was stunned, and it actually took her a few minutes to realize what was actually happening. Edward got down on one knee and Alex said YES to her best friend, with numerous onlookers cheering them on. They knew as long as they had each other, that they were an unstoppable force. From best friends, to first loves, the two were eager to tie the knot, and did so during the Covid pandemic on April 19, 2021 their 14 year anniversary. However, that didn’t charge their desire to celebrate their love with all of their family friends. Their celebration of love will continue in Mexico in April 16, 2022.
