Our story began with a fall on the ice during a Friday night skate. The least flattering way Lexi envisioned meeting her significant other, but Cody’s kind gesture to help her up was the spark to start this journey off. After a few dates, they found themselves inseparable and during a New Years Eve party Cody asked to be her boyfriend. Throughout many trips and life changes, we have only grown closer.

On March 7, 2022, as a celebration to mark our adoption of our puppy Remmy, we planned a dinner for the three of us to commemorate the best decision in our lives so far. To Lexi’s surprise, that was not the only thing special planned for the evening. An exuberant puppy with a new bandana came storming out, and as she looked at it she could not help but tear up. She said Yes!
