Alison & Weston's love story truly began December 2018 when a “realistically datable Nick from the Bachelor... who wants to travel and has a 9 week old Pomsky” meets “OC nurse who loves to cook, anything outdoors, morning person & just looking for her person”. At least this is what their cheesy online dating profiles said on The League. Both of them undeniably felt the other was out of their league”, but it clicked.
The story is one that Weston loves to tell: Boy simply messages girl on a dating app. Quickly normal texting is much more than a few short texts back and forth, but paragraphs that continue to this day. He asked her out for a drink, but she decided to go on a date with someone else she met first and told Weston she “does not date multiple people at the same time and wanted to see where it went”. He said alright, and deleted her number.
Alison went home from an especially unsuccessful date and told her mom about this other guy (Weston) who she had great conversation with and was so disappointed she hadn't chosen to go on the date with him in the first place. Alison's mom advised her to reach back out, and thank goodness she took the advice! She texted him on a Monday and he swiftly deleted the text message because he did not save her name in his phone. Weston slept on it, and decided to give her one last chance. He asked her to grab a drink at Tanner's Treetop in Huntington Beach that same Friday.
Just drinks; his first date mentality. This time however was different! The conversation flowed effortlessly as they enjoyed a round (or two) of Rosé and he, Nolets & Soda. Weston walked her to the valet like a gentleman and she initiated with a kiss on the cheek. He didn't miss a beat and quickly corrected it saying no, we're re-doing that and kissed her back.
Fast forward and Alison and Weston have done so much as a couple. Adventures to Nashville for her 30th birthday, Europe trip with Alison’s parents, San Francisco, Paso Robles, weddings and everything in between.
Weston popped the question by surprising Alison that they were attending a 'white party' on June 27nd, 2020. That white party however never existed.
Weston planned every detail from arranging lunch where their first date occurred, sourced their favorite Linne Calodo Slacker Rosé and made certain it was a moment only shared between the two of them. After he got down on one knee, the day progressed as Weston invited their closest friends & family to his parents' home for what attendees were told was a surprise birthday party. Together and newly engaged... they were able to share & celebrate with those they love most!
Weston and I cannot wait to partake in this new adventure together and are ecstatic to have you join us at the beautiful Estancia in La Jolla, CA on September 11th, 2021! - Alison & Weston
