For the past 4 years, we've been traveling the USA with our cat in our RV. We set out with the goal to see more of the country, enjoy life together, and hit all 50 states. In our travels, we came to find that the national parks of the US captured our attention because of our love of the outdoors and wildlife. So we set a new goal to reach as many of the 63 US National Parks as we can! As of June 2025, we're up to 35 of 63. In that time we've been on countless hikes, had amazing wildlife encounters, and been to caves, mountains, volcanoes, beaches, lakes, rivers, deserts, sand dunes, badlands, islands, and more. And have been so lucky to see a ton of the beauty our country has to offer. When planning our wedding, we thought that getting to share our love of national parks with our loved ones would be a special way to include you all in our grand adventure. It's only fitting that we tie the knot with our friends and families while enjoying a national park! And what better park than Virgin Islands National Park on Saint John, USVI?!? We're excited to explore the island and a national park with our favorite people since the NPS has been such a special part of our lives these past few years. Here's to our greatest adventure yet!
This past Thanksgiving, Peter proposed to Amy while decorating their Christmas tree at Mustang Island State Park in Texas. Peter handed Amy an ornament to put on the tree, and as she looked down at it, she saw a ring tied to the ribbon on the ornament. He got down on one knee and proposed. Amy was so surprised and touched, and was delighted to say yes.
