Since the wedding will take place at a venue without parking access for guests, the bride and groom will provide transportation. Transportation will pick up and drop off guests in Cruz Bay, St John. For this reason, we ask that you stay in Cruz Bay. See the picture below for reference. The pink dot is where the ceremony will be held, and the blue dot is the reception location (Villa Kalorama). The blue circled area is where we'll be able to provide transportation to/from, so please book lodging there. Please note that there is no Uber or Lyft on St John, and taxi cabs are not as reliable as we'd like.

We will not have a hotel block reserved for our guests, but there are a few hotels in Cruz Bay. We've listed a few that our wedding planner recommended, but it's not an exhaustive list. There are many homes (aka villas) to rent that are perfect for families and groups, as well as some that are perfect for 1 or 2 guests. Many villas require a rental of 5-7 nights, and most require a rental car to access them. Some weekly villa rentals start on Saturday, so keep that in mind if you're planning to arrive on Friday (which is ideal for members of the bridal party).

Gallows Point Resort is a distinctive Caribbean resort offering you sweeping panoramic views and stunning sunsets from its private oceanfront location on a lushly landscaped 5-acre peninsula. The hotel is just a 5-minute stroll from the main town of Cruz Bay near restaurants and nightlife. Price: Most expensive

The new Wharfside Village Hotel is located on the 2nd floor of Wharfside Village in Cruz Bay on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. Their 34 rooms put you literally on the beach for your stay on St. John. May have a minimum stay of 3 nights. Price: Moderate

The Residence Club at Grande Bay Resort is a boutique collection of suites located within the resort. The Grande Bay Resort is situated hillside overlooking Cruz Bay on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Set near Wharfside Village, and a leisurely three minute stroll from the ferry dock, this St. John resort overlooks the emerald and blue waters of Cruz Bay with St. Thomas to the west and the British Virgin Islands to the east. Availability on their website currently looks to be incorrect, so we recommend calling them to book if you're interested. Price: moderate

Hotel Cruz Bay is an intimate accommodation made up of fourteen guest rooms and one penthouse apartment suite. The hotel was created in 2010 and extensively renovated and expanded in 2018 blending chic Miami boutique hotel decor with the more casual style of an island villa. The result is a clean, simple yet elegant venue.

This one is great because there's no need to rent a car! The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Cruz Bay town's best restaurants, bars and shopping. This lively location is the perfect spot for accessing all of St. John's beaches and attractions. Just around the corner from the ferry dock (only 250 feet away), Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel is the closest accommodation upon arrival to St. John. No taxi is required and there are no hills or winding roads to traverse – just stroll on over. Price: Least expensive

A charming Caribbean boutique hotel located in the heart of Cruz Bay. Avoid booking with AirBNB or VRBO if possible. There have been some issues with cancellations that are happening when using those sites that don't seem to be happening when you book directly with the management company. They do also tend to charge additional fees on VRBO and AirBNB, so you might find a cheaper rate by booking directly. Note that some villa rental places charge a 3-5% additional fee to book with a card or Venmo, and prefer a check but will accept card if you prefer. Some might only accept checks. This seems to be the case for a lot of what we've seen in St John so far - they prefer to avoid credit card processing fees. I'll share a couple of Villa options here, but know that there are many more.

Kapok Villas is a short drive from town (but very close to the wedding location). There are several 2 bedroom villas available with all the comforts of home, as well as a studio that's perfect for a single guest. The villa complex contains a shared pool. https://kapokvillas.com/

This option offers many places to rent. You can search by neighborhood and many other criteria. Virgin Grande Estates will yield properties closest to the reception, and the Chocolate Hole and Cruz Bay/Great Cruz Bay filters also yield results that are close by.
