Our Story

HOW WE MET

Picture of HOW WE MET
As some of you probably know, we met our freshman year, first class, first day. My middle school teachers encouraged me to sign up for honors science, which I’ll admit was the best mistake I ever made. I was in danger of failing the class and I believe there are quite a few of you who would agree with me when I say Isaiah is one of the smartest people I know! After a few hair flips and I’m sure plenty of flirting, I convinced him to help me study and pass the class.

DOWNTIME

When our schedules align we typically spend it with our close friends and family. We have been playing DnD with Scott and Brigh for at least 3 years if not longer. We also enjoy playing video games, card games, painting, snuggling/spoiling our fur babies, and to no one’s surprise each other’s company!

OUR TIME TOGETHER

Isaiah and I met in 2012 our freshman year. We attended 2 military balls, prom, numerous classes together, and even sat next to each other for graduation in 2016. We’ve attended some college together. We got our first apartment together. We share our two fur babies: Goose & Arty. We survived our first pandemic together. We have experienced numerous moves and jobs over the years. Through all of this, we have shared going on 13 years of friendship and have just celebrated our 9th anniversary in October of 2024.

THE PROPOSAL

Picture of THE PROPOSAL
I was convinced he was going to propose the next day knowing he’d take me to our favorite restaurant together. I let him sleep in knowing he’d stayed up late the night prior having worked late and knowing he probably had prepped for our DND session. I’d woken up and played video games quietly in the other room until he woke up. Not realizing how much time had gone by I’d panicked when I realized I hadn’t prepped anything for our DnD session and that we had company coming over in a few short hours. We went and bought lunch from Graze, liqueur from the Thief, and even some ice cream for the heck of it from Pine Cone Creamery. Little did I know DnD would not be happening. We ran home, ate, and Isaiah convinced me he’d tidy up while I grabbed some food for all our company. When I came home I noticed leaves had been strewn about the floor and after following them I found he had carved two pumpkins and bought my favorite cheesecake from TMACS which read will you marry me I turned around to find he was kneeling behind me and the rest is history! From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all the people who helped him prepare for it!
