On the first day of Winter training for the Office of First-Year Experience at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, Annalisa and Alejandro met as coworkers after a long day of training. What started as a simple introduction and a charming "I'm not fat, I promise," regarding a very large container of white rice from Panda Express, turned out to be the start of a new adventure.

A few days before Alejandro formally graduated with his Bachelors from Texas A&M University-San Antonio, the duo went on their first date-not-date to the Witte.

Soon after, Winter Break began for Annalisa, so she and Alejandro stayed up one night to play one of their favorite games, Red Dead Redemption Online. When joking around, it became apparent that their long-term friendship was becoming something more, so they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend!

January was full of a lot of "firsts" as Annalisa finally met Alejandro's mom, Christine, he began meeting more of her family, and someone already said "I love you!"

2021 was full of tears and laughs, which only continued when the couple welcomed two new chiweenie furbabies, Thor and Loki, to their family!

2022 highlighted many new beginnings for the couple as Annalisa started the year teaching in a class of her own after graduation and Alejandro started working at Haven for Hope. They continued to navigate life, especially after the passing of their first furbaby, Baby Girl, in March.

After the unexpected passing of Loki, the couple soon welcomed, Howl, their new bundle of fur to their family!

After a ton of ups and downs, Annalisa and Alejandro finally got engaged during a special premiere at the movies of one of Annalisa's favorite movies, "Howl's Moving Castle."
