Antonia and Sean both grew up in small beach towns where Sean spent all his time lifeguarding on one beach while Antonia spent all of hers laying on another beach. Their introduction is all thanks to the maid of honor, Meghan. It was Antonia’s twenty first birthday and they planned to meet some of the other Spring Lake guards at Tap House. Sean likes to say that it was love at first sight with Antonia. In fact, he was so captivated that he asked if she wanted to make out before she knew his name! Antonia, on the other hand, was only interested in green tea shots that night. Sean spent the remainder of that summer winning over Antonia with his corny jokes and bar-top dance routines. On the night of August 24th, the two stumbled out of Leggets and onto the Manasquan beach where Sean asked Antonia if she would be his girlfriend!

Throughout the next six years, they collected hundreds of memories together, like diving with Great White sharks in Cape Town and giving themselves stick-n-poke tattoos during a COVID quarantine. From Donegal, Ireland to Denver, Colorado, their memories together are filled with endless love and laughter.

On August 24th, 2023, Sean and Antonia planned to celebrate their anniversary with dinner and a cute craft on the Manasquan beach. Underneath a lifeguard stand, in the same spot they were six years earlier, but with a little bit of rain, Sean to ask Antonia to marry him!

Well, really it went more like:

“I was right!”

“Is that a yes?”

“Are you going to ask me the question?”

"Oh right..."

Antonia and Sean are beyond excited to honor their 8/24 tradition by getting married August 2024!
