Ashley needed a bunch of these birds from Michael's to make Cleo headpieces. Kade lived in Baton Rouge, so Ashley asked him to see if he could find any at his store since.

Kade drove to New Orleans to bring the birds to Ashley and they went on their first date! The Friends couch was in town for the weekend so Ashley and Kade passed by and spent the day walking around the French Quarter.

Kade and Ashley went to the zoo with Ashley's family this day. After a fun day, they got back to Ashley's house and Kade started packing his things so he could make the drive back to Baton Rouge. With just a few minutes left until Kade had to leave, he asked Ashley to be his girlfriend.

Ashley's favorite museum, The Newseum, announced it would be closing before the end of the year. Ashley knew it was crazy to ask the guy you just started dating if he wanted to take a trip to Washington, DC with you to visit the museum one last time before it closes, but Kade said yes!

Ashley was finishing up grad school and promised herself she would get a dog when she graduated. Ashley and Kade met Cal (formerly Weston) at Northshore Humane Society and knew he was the one!

Hurricane Ida was the first hurricane Kade and Ashley experienced together. They loaded up the car (with Cal getting the whole backseat to himself) and headed for Dallas. After a few days in Dallas, Kade and Cal went to Mobile and Ashley went back to work.

Kade and Ashley lived their fest life at their first Jazz Fest together. They enjoyed lots of sun, strawberry lemonade, and live music together.

Ashley and Kade are THOSE dog parents. They dressed up in matching costumes for not one, but two dog parades across the lake.

Kade planned the most perfect proposal and had everyone (except for Ashley) in on it. He had the Superior Grill DJ play Single Ladies, knowing that Ashley would happily oblige to dancing in the middle of the street. Little did Ashley know, her friends and family that were all coincidentally catching the parades with her that day were all there that morning to see Kade propose to her.
