Audra and Brian met on the first day of their freshman year at Virginia Tech in 2009. He tried to flirt with her, she thought his name was "...Matt? Or something that starts with an M?"
Needless to say, they didn't start dating right away.
Instead, they became friends. Brian did rambunctious frat boy stuff, while Audra did nerdy things like "get good grades" and "date someone else."
But by June 2010, they were officially together. To celebrate, he made her an iTunes playlist and burnt it on a CD, because this was 2010 and that was acceptable behavior.
Songs on the playlist included Smoothie King by Bowling For Soup, and Swing by Savage. (Romeo at his finest, ladies and gentlemen!)
They both got jobs in Blacksburg after graduation, and became the poster couple for awkward questions like "wait...didn't you graduate already?"
They moved to Richmond in 2015.
Wanting to prove he could still surprise her after six years of dating, Brian proposed at his late-grandparents' house in Kilmarnock, VA, on July 17, 2016. Despite the last 150 words, she didn't see it coming.
And now, using the word every family member and friend has used over the past decade, Brian and Audra are finally getting married.
On May 27, 2018, that is.
Because what's the rush?
While we wish we could accommodate everyone, we ask that this be an adults only ceremony and reception.
