We were at the Word of Life Island for a summer together, and met the first day. We started talking about TV shows we both liked, but didn't talk much until halfway through the summer.

He had a friend of ours plan a small hike to one of our favorite spots, and invite me (Liz) because he knew I would invite him. He had a photographer friend of ours hike up separately. It was sunset (golden hour, specifically), and he got on a knee behind me while I enjoyed the mountain sunset. I said yes (of course) and we had our first kiss .

We will be living in Indiana while we both work and get ready for whatever next steps there are. We will be getting plugged into a local church and Austin will be pursuing his ACBC certification.
