One of the first pictures taken of us! A Birmingham Legion FC match. We might have lost the game, but we were on our way to winning each others hearts.

The night before Steven quit his job with the local school system. He asked if I would make a cake for him to give to his bosses, and I couldn't turn down the chance!

No matter the event, river trips, sports games, movie dates, it was always an adventure for us.

After spending 5 months living in Stevens 1 bedroom apartment (more of a hallway lets be honest), we were able to move into a home that we have been so lucky to call The Zoo!

Atlanta trips, soccer games, we never seem to have a dull moment.

Stevens first extended trip to CA! I loved showing him where I grew up. And what's a trip without a stop at The Happiest Place On Earth!

A new face enters The Zoo! We had discussed getting a pet sometime in the future, but it always felt like a "eventually" sort of conversation. One evening after dogsitting Stevens parents pups, I found this sweet little face online at a local rescue and knew she was meant to be our baby. Steven, in peak grumpy dad fashion, has fully fallen head over heels for our girl and now has multiple matching outfits.

Steven and I take our Christmas card game very seriously. So for 2023 we decided to share this beauty with only a sprinkle of chaos on one side of the card..

..and this classic on the back! We have a saying in our home that carries through everything we do. If we're going to do it, lets do it RIGHT!

And do it right is exactly what Steven did! Steven proposed on the anniversary of when we first said "I love you" to one another on a recreation of our first date. A hike through Moss Rock Preserve, and lunch at our favorite pizza spot.

After a wonderful afternoon, I was told to get ready for a small engagement party with just a few friends. But when friends from all over the state started to arrive I realized my family had thrown quite the party with all of our favorite people! The cherry on top? Steven had organized with some of my best friends back in California to come out for a weekend and surprised me by walking through the front door! These are the people that make us who we are today, and we are so thankful to have been able to celebrate with them.

Five months later, Steven and I decided we were tired of saying "fiancé", and that today would be the perfect day to go to the courthouse and get legally married! It took us three times to get the paperwork filled out properly (first time I left it on the dining room table, second Steven signed in the "bride" section, third time we crushed it), but by the end of the day we could legally call each other husband and wife! We have never been ones for traditional timelines, so it only makes sense that we start this new chapter of our lives on our terms.
