If it's your first time in Birmingham you simply must make a stop at Vulcan Park. As the worlds largest cast iron statue, Vulcan is more than just a remarkable piece of art, it's a symbol for the people that call Bham their home.

You will find no shortage of bakeries here in Birmingham, and while the biggest lines can be found at Last Call Baking or Continental, I have a huge soft spot for Hello Bakery. Located in the Crestwood neighborhood, this hole in the wall has some of the most incredible pastry I have ever tried. Stop in for a croissant, or some of their scratch-made ice cream!
